Paul Turner MSMA MISRM
Director

Paul is the founding director of the Oxford School of Sports Massage. He is an experienced sports massage and sports therapy lecturer. He started his career in the Royal Marines, then worked exclusively in professional football between 1994 and 2001, after which he lectured in sports massage and sports therapy as a Programme Manager for Premier Training International. Paul is also a qualified podiatrist.

Adrian Edwards MISRM MSMA

Adrian Edwards is our principal tutor - he joined OSSM in 2014. He began his career in the Royal Navy and qualified as a personal trainer and sports massage therapist on leaving. He was a sports massage therapy lecturer for Premier Training for a number of years and worked in professional rugby with the Cornish Pirates as Team Manager and Head Therapist for many years, then lately as Head Coach and Director of Rugby with Redruth RFC. Since 2009 he has delivered the Level 2 Gym Instructor course to sixth formers at Redruth Academy as well as taking on the role of pastoral leader for students throughout the school. From 2009-2011 Ady delivered Sports Massage Level 3 courses to graduate physiotherapists at Southampton University.

Throughout his career Ady has continued to see his own patients either from his home practice or at local clinics, and has made a considerable voluntary contribution within his local community assisting rowing teams and school rugby teams in strength and conditioning and soft tissue therapy treatments.

Emily Campbell BSc(Hons) MISRM

Emily is one of our senior tutors, and originally trained with OSSM. Since graduating she has developed her sports therapy skills and knowledge by attending many advanced workshops and mentorships. She takes pride in her professionalism and the level of care given to her patients. She frequently works with both amateur and semi-professional sportsmen and women. Her degree in Sports Science, specialising in Exercise Physiology and Coaching in Sport, has led her to seek out a career in improving the performance of the human body through musculoskeletal manipulation, and soft tissue therapy.

Emily runs a busy massage and sports injuries clinic from Priority 6, her Crossfit Box and gym (www.priority6.co.uk). She also coaches some crossfit and remedial exercise classes. She is a keen athlete in her own right having completed several marathons, is an avid horse rider, and now focuses on Crossfit-orientated competitions.

Dr Andrew Moss, PhD MISRM

Andrew is one of our senior tutors. He is a Neuroscientist with 16 years experience in pain research. He completed his PhD at Edinburgh University before going on to work at University College London (UCL) and Harvard Medical School, and currently works as an exploratory pain researcher for the biopharmaceuticals giant Pfizer. Andrew runs a successful private clinic in Fleet in Hampshire www.hartsportsmassage.com where he works with numerous clients, including two GB level triathletes and Fleet Town FC. "Teaching soft tissue therapy is a great passion of mine. I have dedicated most of my career to understanding and treating chronic pain conditions and sports massage has given me a unique opportunity to work with fantastic people who have often suffered from highly preventable pain conditions related to their sport and/or posture."

Liz Soames MISRM MSMA

Liz is one of our senior tutors. She began her career studying Exercise Science, focusing on behavioural change and exercise adherence. She went on to work freelance as an exercise specialist combining the more remedial aspect of exercise with soft tissue therapy, working with both amateur and semi-professional sportsmen. She began lecturing in sports massage therapy and exercise in 2002 with Premier Training and went on to develop an interest and aptitude for soft tissue therapy in performance sport. She is now a soft tissue and musculoskeletal therapist and works with elite athletes in high performance sport across the UK. To date this has taken her to various international sporting events including the Paralympic Games in Beijing, the World Youth Games in Italy, the European Junior Championships in Serbia and the UKA high altitude training camp in Kenya. Liz also runs her own clinic - Workingbodies - based in Towcester http://www.workingbodies.co.uk/, so is able to combine her passion for sport and teaching with continued hands-on work helping clients achieve their goals in health and wellbeing.

Jason Anderson

Jason has dedicated his life to health and fitness, with over 25 years of experience in the gym. He spent 5 years working for Premier Training International as Programme Manager for the Fitness Trainer Award and Advanced Personal Training qualifications. He was also the inspiration behind Premier's Personal Training Solutions department and the designer of their revolutionary WEB conditioning and flexibility training systems. Jason has presented his concepts and principles at the top fitness conventions in the country (Fitpro and Multitrax UK) and at numerous club chains around the world. For many years he was also the fitness expert and regular contributor to Men's Fitness and other industry publications. Jason now lives in Poole, Dorset and works in Richmond, London where he specialises in postural and movement correction, performance conditioning and nutrition. For more information visit:
